The easiest way to see all of St. Charles avenue including Tulane and Loyola Universities, Audubon park, the Garden District, and dozens of historic mansions, is to hop on the street car. For $1.25 you can ride the entire length on the oldest operating street car line in the country. While there are no drinks allowed onboard, there’s a great daiquiri shop at the last St. Charles stop that’s worth visiting before making your way back.


You don’t see a lot of bachelor parties taking scenic romantic carriage rides of the French quarter. However, if you want to dress your favorite bachelor up in a wedding dress and catch some French Quarter history and humor, Mid-City Carriages has the best prices and top notch service.


By far New Orleans’ largest cab company, United cabs can be spotted all throughout the French Quarter and downtown areas. Cabs are required to accept credit cards so no need to carry cash. They can also be requested by phone.
