The easiest way to see all of St. Charles avenue including Tulane and Loyola Universities, Audubon park, the Garden District, and dozens of historic mansions, is to hop on the street car. For $1.25 you can ride the entire length on the oldest operating street car line in the country. While there are no drinks allowed onboard, there’s a great daiquiri shop at the last St. Charles stop that’s worth visiting before making your way back.
