MUSEUMS

While not a common highlight of your classic bachelor party, if you have an extra day or even an afternoon, we highly recommend taking some time to checkout one of New Orleans’ many world class museums. Pick up a little history and an alibi for your weekend in New Orleans.

Offering tours seven days a week from 9:30 to 4:30, Mardi Gras World is your chance to see where the most elaborate of Mardi Gras floats are built and stored. Located just outside the French Quarter, Mardi Gras world is a good way to take in some New Orleans history and culture while also getting off of Bourbon St. for a couple of hours.

If you prefer your entertainment a little more grisly, the Museum of Death is a must do day time activity. Featuring a theater of death, a skull and body bag collection, and even correspondence with famous murders and serial killers, there's definitely a couple hours of gruesome entertainment to be had here!

Confederate Memorial Hall opened its doors in New Orleans on January 8, 1891, and since that time has been commemorating the military history and heritage of the South. The museum is the oldest in Louisiana and houses one of the largest collections of Confederate memorabilia in the United States.

The New Orleans WWII museum is the premier WWII museum in the United States, featuring a growing number of exhibits or "theaters" and an actual theater as well. Set aside some time to really take it all in, or just pop on over to see the Tom Hanks directed Beyond All Borders in the Victory Theater, you will not be disappointed.
